Discovery.

INVENTION and discovery emanate from the ability to try seemingly wild possibilities; to feel comfortable being wrong before being right; to live in the world as a careful observer, open to different experiences; to play with ideas without prematurely judging oneself or others; to persist through difficulties; and to have a willingness to be misunderstood, sometimes for long periods, despite the conventional wisdom.

Daring to Stumble on the Road to Discovery

Who We Are.

Just got done watching Secretary for the hundredth time. It’s not a movie I ever get tired of. Much like Victor Victoria. Watching them alway brings me back to my self, back to something pure.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been like this. Different. ‘Something located at a time when it could not have existed or occurred’. Sometimes I wonder that I exist. Sometimes I feel so dislocated. So outside existence.

It’s been a busy week. And when I haven’t been preparing to play with someone new, or playing with someone new, I’ve been dreaming of what the future could be. I’ve been thinking about how I want to live. Establishing new connections. And, though it’s no surprise, learning once again that all of us are connected, and that the understood six degrees of separation, is, for me, more like one or two.

The kink world is quite small and if you’ve spent anytime at all getting to know others in it, you’ll find that everyone knows everyone. If you ask the right question. If you say the right name.

There’s the online world. Where you have to capitalize, or not. Where forms of address are important. Where the smallest instruction must be followed, to the T/t. There’s the hollywood world, where it’s all about image and who you know. There’s real-time. The phones. Cam. And lifestyle… The list continues… none of it really makes sense.

I think, for the most part, all of us are looking for the place we belong. A place where we are recognized, acknowledged, and valued, and perhaps most of all understood.

I know what I know…

I know What I Am…

You Know Me Better…

By Any Other Name.

It’s been a really interesting week. I met an amazing woman who got me thinking about advertising and site promotion and have spent a number of hours focused on those sorts of things. Have also had a few wonderfully kinky sessions, which left me feeling energized and ready to take on the world. Starting to get more scheduled and disciplined. So refreshing.

This afternoon I’m multi-tasking. Cleaning. Gardening. Tending the lawn. Writing. Talking on the phone. And returning emails… the list goes on, but mostly I’m just thinking about kink, specifically my kink. What is kink anyway? In an old dictionary of english synonyms (I found it one lucky sunny day, in a curbside box of odd and ends) tells us this:

Kink, n. 1. Twist, knot, entanglement. 2. Whim, crotchet, wrinkle.

Sounds delicious doesn’t it? So bondage laden don’t you think? And what a lovely word ‘Entanglement’.
